We are pleased to announce that our head of chambers, Paul Lam SC, and members Frederick Chan and Mike Yeung have passed the inaugural Greater Bay Area Legal Professional Exam (GBA Exams).
Pursuant to the decision adopted by the NPCSC in relation to the pilot programme regarding the GBA Exams, and the pilot measures released by the General Office of the State Council on Hong Kong and Macau legal practitioners to obtain Mainland practice qualifications and to practise in the nine Pearl River Delta municipalities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, passing the GBA Exams is the first step for Hong Kong legal practitioners who would like to provide legal services in those municipalities on specified civil and commercial matters. Going forward, Paul, Frederick and Mike will also have to obtain the requisite practice certificate for the Greater Bay Area.
