Joshua Wang

Joshua joined Chambers in 2024 after completing his pupillage with Mr. Benson Tsoi SC, Mr. Jeffrey Chau, Mr. Timothy Parker and Mr. Toby Brown.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Joshua read BA in Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford. During his undergraduate studies, he was ranked overall 1^st in the cohort of 200 in his first-year exams, and 2^nd in cohort in the subjects of Constitutional Law and Company Law. Joshua then went on to read the BCL at the University of Oxford. During his PCLL year at the University of Hong Kong, Joshua was awarded the Minvie Leung Prize for best performance in Property Litigation.

Joshua was an avid mooter in university, having reached 4 grand finals in mooting competitions, and emerging as the overall champion of the ELSA Commercial Law National Moot Competition in the United Kingdom in 2019. He was also a competitive debater at the Oxford Union, representing the University of Oxford in debate tournaments and winning several individual speaker prizes.

Joshua is developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work. He has been involved in cases concerning a wide range of areas, including commercial, companies, shareholder and employment disputes, commercial arbitration, insolvency law, land law, injunctive relief, disclosure orders, discrimination suits, competition law and trusts. Joshua is capable of providing written submissions in both English and Chinese (simplified and traditional) and conducting hearings in English and Mandarin.

During his limited practice, Joshua has appeared before the Court of Appeal in a criminal leave to appeal hearing.
