Jeremy read law at the University of Cambridge (LLM) and the University of Hong Kong (JD). He is a recipient of the Middle Temple Advocacy Scholarship. Prior to law, Jeremy received his undergraduate education from Brown University, where he majored in international relations and affairs.
Jeremy has experience in and frequently acts in various types of injunction applications and related matters (including large scale fraud cases, urgent Mareva and proprietary injunctions, s.21M interim relief in aid of foreign proceedings, Chabra injunctions, related banker disclosure orders and multi-layer tracing of proprietary funds). He also has experience in injunctions against publication of confidential information and anti-suit injunctions.
Other practice areas include company insolvency matters, in particular private examination/production orders in the context of company liquidation (including orders in respect to directors/company officers and third parties), company matters, contractual disputes, land related disputes (including in particular adverse possession claims), intellectual property, money lending and defamation.
Jeremy was appointed a part time lecturer (non-clinical) at the University of Hong Kong. He was also a committee member of the Standing Committee on Greater China Affairs with the Hong Kong Bar Association and an assistant with the Common Law course taught at Peking University. He is also a mentor with the University of Law (Hong Kong).
Jeremy has spoken in seminars and written on arbitration related topics. He has also written on defamation and company insolvency matters.
