On 21 September 2018, Paul Lam SC delivered a presentation for the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub entitled “From a Hong Kong Legal Practitioner’s Perspective: How to Ascertain Laws of Hong Kong in Mainland Courts”.
The lecture was co-hosted by the Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People’s Court, the Authority of Qianhai, Shenzhen University, and the Qianhai Belt and Road Legal Services Federation. The audience mainly comprised Mainland judges and legal practitioners.
Paul took the audience through key features of the methodology of Hong Kong Courts in determining foreign law, providing practical insight from his own experience.
