Application
procedure
All pupillage applicants (whether for 3-, 6-, or 9-month pupillages) are strongly encouraged to have completed at least one mini-pupillage with Parkside Chambers.
Completion of an assessed mini-pupillage is a prerequisite for a 9-month pupillage, which is awarded to exceptional candidates. An applicant for a 9-month pupillage between September 2025 – August 2026, must:
- submit their pupillage application on or before 30 September 2024; and
- have completed a 4-week assessed mini-pupillage (inclusive of an assessed moot) before then.
Applications should be emailed to the Pupillage Committee (pupillage@parksidechambers.com) with a cover letter, curriculum vitae, academic transcripts and recent photograph, together with such other material (e.g. reference letters) considered relevant by the applicant.
Applications must be received on or before 30 September, i.e. 11 months prior to the intended commencement of pupillage in September of the following year. Late applications may be considered at the discretion of the Pupillage Committee where there are exceptional circumstances.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview with the Pupillage Committee. Interviews are held on a rolling basis, with offers being made shortly thereafter.
