We are pleased to announce that the inaugural Parkside Chambers Scholarship has been awarded to Oliver Tse, a third-year student pursuing a double degree in BBA(Law) and LLB at the University of Hong Kong. Oliver will be attending the University of Oxford as a visiting student in the academic year 2019-2020.
Established in 2018, the Parkside Chambers Scholarship aims at supporting law students of the University of Hong Kong who are committed to joining the Hong Kong Bar to study at prestigious overseas universities as visiting students (via a scheme arranged by the University). This year’s scholar, Oliver, will be receiving a sum of HK$100,000 to finance his studies at the University of Oxford.
The Award Ceremony cum Career Talk was held at the University of Hong Kong on 23 April 2019. Through the sharing of personal stories, Paul Lam SC led an engaging discussion with university students on life at the Bar together with Derek Chan, Ernest Ng, and Astina Au.
