Parkside’s Deanna Law and Nicole Chui have been appointed as members of the Disciplinary Panel for Authorized Surveyors for a term of 3 years from 15 September 2026 (the “DP”).
The DP is an administrative panel appointed by the Director of Marine. The DP consists of (i) 3 members with expertise in the shipbuilding, ship repairing or ship maintenance of local vessels; (ii) 3 surveyor members who have expertise in ship survey or plan approval work, and are not public officers; and (iii) 3 lay members who are neither in the maritime sectors nor public officers.
Deanna and Nicole are 2 of the 3 lay members appointed to the DP.
DP members will participate in disciplinary boards to conduct inquiries into alleged breaches of authorization conditions in respect of Authorized Surveyors and to make recommendations to the Director of Marine on the appropriate actions to be taken in respect of the Authorized Surveyors concerned.
