Parkside Chambers is delighted to announce that three members, Jeremy Yau, Dexter Leung and Ivy Ho have passed the interview assessment (面試考核) conducted by the Guangdong Lawyers Association in Foshan on 22 March 2025 for prospective Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) lawyers.
The interview assessment is the third stage of the process for Hong Kong and Macao lawyers to qualify to practise as a GBA lawyer. Before taking the interview, they must first pass the GBA Legal Professional Examination and then undergo a post-examination training programme organised by the Guangdong Lawyers Association and the School of Law of South China Normal University.
Jeremy, Dexter and Ivy had successfully passed the GBA Legal Professional Examination in summer 2024 and completed the post-examination training programme in January 2025.
Jeremy, Dexter and Ivy are now qualified to apply for the GBA Lawyer’s Licence (粵港澳大灣區律師執業證) and practise as a GBA lawyer with a law firm in one of the 9 Mainland cities in the GBA.
In total, 6 members of Parkside have successfully passed the GBA exam, training and interview. Frederick Chan and Mike Yeung were part of the inaugural cohort and have obtained their GBA Lawyer’s Licence. Alice Lau also successfully passed the interview assessment in April 2024 and has since been qualified to apply for the GBA Lawyer’s Licence. Their qualifications as GBA lawyers will broaden the legal services offered by members of Parkside Chambers in Hong Kong SAR.
