Overview

Nicola is joining Chambers later this year, after serving pupillage with Ms. Deanna Law, Mr. Osmond Lam, Mr. Frederick Chan, and Mr. Eugene Yim.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Nicola undertook her LLB (Bachelor of Laws) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she graduated with first class honours and was ranked first in cohort for Family Law. She then pursued an LLM (Master of Laws) at the University of Hong Kong, where she graduated with an overall distinction (with a distinction in all subjects). After, she completed her PCLL at the University of Hong Kong, and then went on to read the BCL (Bachelor of Civil Laws) at the University of Oxford, during which she was awarded the Des Voeux Chambers BCL Scholarship and received a distinction in 3 out of 4 papers.

During her studies, Nicola has also had her work published in leading academic and practitioner journals, such as the Journal of Social Welfare and Family Law and the Biotechnology Law Report. Most recently, Nicola’s work (co-authored with Ms. Deanna Law) was published in the leading practitioner text, Family Law Journal.

During her limited practice, Nicola has already appeared in different levels of Court, including the High Court and the District Court (including a six day ICAC trial, led by Mr. Osmond Lam).

Nicola is developing a broad practice and will be accepting instructions in all areas of Chambers work.
