Parkside Chambers is delighted to announce that Parkside’s member Simon Young was appointed the Ian Davies Professor in Ethics by the Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong. This is an Endowed Professorship and is considered one of the most prestigious awards bestowed upon academics within the University in support of academic and research activities.
Simon is Deputy Director for Education and Development of Research Integrity at HKU. In both his academic and professional work, Simon has explored questions of integrity in the criminal process, particularly judicial responses to misconduct by police and prosecutors. Simon is set to work on topics in the transnational criminal law space, examining various cross-border legal issues including how technology transforms our traditional paradigm of criminal cooperation between countries.
